It would be great if we got CBS to support the forum idea Vince proposed by:
- publicizing this site or whatever forum (Yahoo, etc.) we decide to use alongside the way to sign up for the email listserv. People need to know upfront what the channels of communication are, where the repository of info is, that it's an active exchange.
- reaching out to all existent and newly forming CBS alum groups to tell them that every event should include an oral reminder to boost the value of a CBS degree, go out of your way to help and hire CBS alums, make the network work.
What do people think? Other things we should ask for or suggest? Is this the forum to use or do people think a Yahoo group has benefits?
I am willing to try to get this going with our Alumni Office. I'd anticipate reaching out to the Alumni Office and NY Club officers simultaneously to get people on board and get ideas/feedback.
I think this forum is a great idea. I often find the information contained in the emails very useful, but also find the constant barrage of emails a bit much to handle. Let's be sure to remember and use this forum. It is a great idea.
